The Canterbury Cougars are embarking on an exciting new chapter and phase of growth, with 70 teams and over 1000 members, we are the third biggest clubΒ (and largest not-for-profit club)Β in the Community Basketball League and continue to grow.
Cougars are a family, not-for-profit, community club, run by our tireless volunteers that simply love everything basketball. We offer the opportunity for friends to start their own teams in any age-group from Under 8’s through to Seniors or, join individually and have the opportunity to play at a more competitive grade.
We have built a strong community through a family first culture, which develops lifelong friendships, in a fun and social environment. In addition, we continue to provide pathways to representative basketball, with a few players having gone on to represent Australia.
